GURU: Clean energy... for the mainstream
Montreal-based GURU, which is the preferred energy drink brand at the Twitter HQ in San Francisco, contains a blend of organic green tea, ginseng, echinacea and guarana. Despite its 'clean-energy' formulation and organic credentials, however, the packaging and branding is deliberately mainstream, said national sales manager Matt Ruyssers. "We're not targeting health freaks, we're going after Millennials who are moving on from Monster and Red Bull."
