The state of the probiotic industry
Probiotics are turning up in more and more food, beverage and dietary supplements (and there is some debate about whether many probiotic food and beverage products are indeed truly probiotic), and Kora Lazarski, strategic alliance manager at SPINS, gave an extensive presentation of many of the new products in these categories.
Supplements in particular are experiencing massive growth, with SPINS measuring 17.8% growth in the channels it monitors.
