ChromaDex Corp. has announced a sales and marketing arrangement with Joy’s Quality Management Services. The deal will allow ChromaDex to further offer ‘one stop shop’ GMP service to clients, according to CEO Frank Jaksch.

In the deal, effective June 1, ChromaDex will act as the exclusives sales and marketing agent for JQMS.

"JQMS and ChromaDex are both leaders in their respective fields," Jaksch said. "This agreement enables us to further cement ourselves as a full service provider of GMP services for our clients. We can now offer a complete suite of GMP related services from auditing and inspection services to analytical testing to GRAS dossier preparation.”

JQMS was founded in 2004 by Joy A Joseph and provides services that include consulting, auditing, inspection, validation, and training services for GMP compliance in the dietary supplement, food and pharmaceutical markets.  Joseph had previously spent  more than two decades at Pharmavite where she was vice president of science and technology.

“In today's environment, regulatory compliance has become an even greater challenge. This partnership provides our combined customer base with the expertise and services needed to meet and overcome present and future regulatory challenges,” Joseph said.

ChromaDex had previously beefed up its consulting capabilities with the acquisition of Spherix Consulting late 2012. In addition to testing, auditing and consulting services, ChromaDex supplies and researches several branded ingredients as well, including pTeroPure, its synthetic form of pterostilbene, and Niagen, a branded form of nicotinamide riboside, a form of vitamin B3.
